Où : pays situé en Afrique Centrale où les premiers jardins furent établis par les Britanniques au 19ème siècle et qui possède l’industrie du thé la plus ancienne d’Afrique, rejointe par la suite par le Rwanda, le Burundi, le Zimbabwe et le Mozambique.
Quantité : le Malawi produit 45 millions de kilos de thé par an et se classe juste derrière les 10 premiers producteurs. La majorité de sa production est vendue aux enchères chaque semaine à Limbe dans le sud.
Infusion obtenue : Les thés de ce pays sont brillants et présentent une couleur inhabituelle ; ils sont très appréciés au Royaume-Uni et en Afrique du Sud.
